Garage Door Remote Controls and Keypads

A garage door represents the largest moving door in your home or building. The devices that allow users to open and close these doors without actually having to touch the doors themselves represent an important aspect of garage door safety.

At the Overhead Door Company of Lexington, we are passionate about garage door safety and proper usage and maintenance of doors. We want to keep our customers safe because they’re also our neighbors. We’ve been the community resource for garage doors for nearly 60 years, and we’re proud of our role in the industry.

In this day and age, most people utilize remote controls to open and shut their garage doors at home. Typically, clipped to the sun visor, these remotes allow people to shut their doors when they leave and open their doors when they arrive back home.

Garage door keypads, on the other hand, are typically posted right outside the garage door itself. These are used for non-vehicle entry and allow those on foot to open a garage door without having to lift it up themselves.

If you ever have trouble programming your remote or keypad, we have a handy resource on our website’s FAQ page:
